The store
Missoula Makers Collective is a community-driven shop in downtown Missoula showcasing handmade goods from over 100 local artists and makers. Every purchase supports independent creatives and keeps dollars circulating locally. It’s owned by two makers and is thoughtfully curated to show off the best of Missoula’s handmade businesses.
Every item in our store is made by someone who lives and creates right here in Missoula or the surrounding region. When you shop at Missoula Makers Collective, you’re directly supporting independent makers, small businesses, and a thriving local creative economy.
The shop is warm and welcoming, with something new to discover each time you visit. Folks often come in for a gift and leave with one for themselves. It’s a great place to experience truly local, handmade goods, whether you live here or you’re just passing through.

Thank you so much for your interest in selling your work at the Missoula Makers Collective! Please take a moment to read these notes and fill out our application. After we review your application, and if it feels like a good fit, we’ll be in touch with information on the next steps!
The Missoula Makers Collective is a small retail shop with a thoughtfully curated selection of handmade and small batch products, made in the Missoula, MT area. To date, the shop has featured more than 50 local artists and makers.
How we select Makers:
-Makers must live in the Missoula area, or demonstrate that they make most of their sales in Missoula
-Products must be handmade
Note that even if you meet these three requirements, you are not guaranteed a spot selling in the store. Those are the minimum requirements, but there are lots of other qualities we look for. Some of those qualities are: being involved in other aspects of Missoula Makers Collective or other maker communities in Missoula and having products that aesthetically fit with the store, it’s brand, and the other products. We also won’t ever carry too many of the same thing. For example, if we already have someone that makes handwoven scarves, we’re unlikely to accept another maker with that product. Similarly, we try to limit the amount of print artists, jewelers, ceramicists, etc. that we’ll carry at one time.
Other qualities that we love:
-vibrant colors
-target audience of 25-40 year olds
-price range of $30-$200
-well established branding that’s easily identified and is incorporated into the presentation of the product
-instagram and social media presence, along with a selling platform
-unique + quirky designs
